The Company's market leading disc and drum catalogue is widely recognised as being number one for the aftermarket user with excellent range development as the main focus.

A consistent new parts introduction programme ensures that the Company continues to achieve market leader status striving towards 100% vehicle parc coverage.

Calipers

Brake Engineering, pioneers of brake caliper re-manufacturing in the UK back in 1981 set the standard for the market today. The company still dominates its domestic market through continuous product development ensuring the highest standard of re-manufactured brake caliper is supplied every time. Every unit goes through an advanced production cell enabling full batch traceability for both components and core back to each operation.

Every unit is finished with an electroplating finish free of Chrome 6, designed to further enhance the life of the caliper without affecting the environment.

All calipers are fitted with new pistons and sliders with all parts manufactured on site using the latest CNC multi-spindle machines to ensure quality.

100% new rubber components are fitted only after being subjected to stringent quality inspection. All units are subject to a multi-stage high and low pressure test similar to that used by original equipment suppliers, setting new standards in re-manufacturing.

A range of repair kits and pistons are available and sold separately to be purchased by other rebuilders.

Hydraulics

The Brake Engineering hydraulics range consists of brake hoses, master cylinders, regulators, slave cylinders and wheel cylinders in an impressive all makes range developed for today's diverse vehicle parc. Manufactured to original equipment quality standards where cylinders are produced automatically on automated production lines without human intervention ensures both quality and price.

In a continuous drive to further enhance the range, Brake Engineering has incorporated a range of brake fluid into their already successful hydraulics package.

The range of Dot 4 and LHM is a premium quality brake fluid that is available in various pack sizes. Brake Engineering Dot 4 conforms to and exceeds all market and International specifications. Brake Engineering LHM meets and exceeds the performance requirements of ISO 7308 and is compatible with all other LHM products meeting this standard.

Brake Engineering offers a single sourced hydraulics programme, which is a 'one stop solution' for the Customer. Exceptional quality, continuous reliability, with over 98% vehicle parc coverage and is amongst the most competitively priced product available in the marketplace.

Pads and Shoes

The Brake Engineering friction programme has been closely aligned to meet the latest market demands, with a stock profile that reflects this objective. With exceptional range coverage combined with on going new part number introduction programme, Brake Engineering has one of the most comprehensive R90 compliant range offerings in today's marketplace.

As part of the dry braking package all brake pads and shoes comply with ECE R90 approval. The friction range carries Brake Engineering branding, part number identification, date coding, friction material classification and R90 markings. In addition all brake pads incorporate anti-squeal rubber coating. This fully endorsed European brake performance and quality standard provides 'peace of mind' assurance for the stockist, garage technician and the end user.

The extensive pads and shoes range provide exceptional performance, life, and brake disc/drum compatibility, with the additional comfort factor of reduced noise/judder. Each brake pad and shoe is specifically engineered to meet the ever-increasing technical, legislative and commercial demands of the brake aftermarket.

Quality & Manufacturing

Quality is a product of a culture that Brake Engineering spends time and effort training its staff to ensure our quality systems are managed and certified to ISO9001:2000. Original equipment contracts are controlled using procedures outlined in TS16949 to ensure a 'right first time every time' approach.

In addition to the corporate strategy of investing in the latest machining technology available, the company actively seeks to eliminate waste from every process. Manufacturing 24 hours a day ensures that the ever-increasing demands from today's customers are always achieved.

Automated twin and four spindle lathes produce brake disc and drums for passenger cars and light commercials up to 3.5 tons and 450mm diameters. Barfeed multi-spindles produce brake caliper pistons and associated components for our in house re-manufacturing activity.

Further enhanced capabilities come from both vertical and horizontal machining centres that offer in house flexibility to deal with the ever-increasing complexity of the modern automotive component. This diversity makes it possible for Brake Engineering to produce its current range of brake discs, drums, caliper components and wheel hubs for original equipment, OES and the aftermarket.

Brake Engineering's impressive distribution facility ensures that an excellent customer service level is guaranteed and this is supported with the continuous investment in stock. This is available for immediate dispatch to the worldwide customer base through an extensive distribution network.
